Class 2 Blog 2026/27
Class 2 have made a brilliant start to the new term. The children have come back ready to learn, full of enthusiasm and keen to get involved in everything we've been doing.
We started the week with some creative RE work linked to the Creation story. The children explored the idea of God's world being full of wonder before creating their own collage artwork. They carefully selected colours, shapes and materials to represent different parts of creation, thinking about how to layer textures and organise their designs. The classroom was full of focused conversations as the children shared ideas and helped one another make artistic choices.
One of the most interesting discussions centred around what it feels like to be different. The children considered how the mysterious creature in the story might feel when nobody seems to notice it or understand it. They showed great empathy as they talked about belonging, friendship and the importance of accepting people for who they are. It was wonderful to hear such mature and thoughtful ideas being shared.
We are incredibly proud of the positive attitude Class 2 have shown this week. They have been engaged, enthusiastic and eager to learn, making it a wonderful start to the year. We are looking forward to an exciting term ahead.
